Once again we are proud ambassadors for Off the Record BANES. Off the Record provides a range of free, confidential and independent services for children and young people that support the development of their emotional health and well-being. This is something that we at Axis Events are very passionate about and can’t wait to start work with our runners to raise even more money this year than last.

Below is our list of confirmed runners so far, with an ever growing list of runners waiting to join!

  • Kyle Reeves

I’m running for Off the Record in the Bath Half 2019 reluctantly , although so far I am enjoying the training. I decided to run for them due to a loss of a friend from suicide who was only 17. I feel passionately about mental health in young people and that we need to offer more help and try and break the stigma attached especially in males. I want to try and challenge myself and set a goal of 1:30.I hope to raise a lot of money for this fantastic cause.

  • William Pascoe

I am absolutely delighted to be running the Bath Half in 2019 for this fantastic cause and I am hoping to beat my previous time of 1:57. Off The Record is a charity whose ethos is very close to my heart and I can only imagine the incredible impact that their listening services, counselling and LGBT+ support groups have on a young person when they have no one else to turn to. Knowing and understanding the importance of childhood mental health and inclusion, my mission is to raise as much as possible for this well-deserving cause.

Hello! I’m Emma and I am delighted to be running the Bath Half 2019 for Off the Record. I’m a student in my third year of studying Psychology and am passionate about mental health and making a difference, especially in young people. I have never run a half marathon before, so this should be interesting…! I don’t have a specific time goal; at the moment my aim is just to complete the race in one piece! Any support you can give me, and the rest of the team would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Off the Record is such a good cause. They helped me a few years ago when I was feeling low and I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for the support I received there. Just £30 could pay for a counselling session for a young person in need. Thank you!

  • Bobo Chung

I am running for Off the Record because all young people deserve free counselling and help where they come across mental health. To allow them to access help earlier, it gives children a better hope for their future allowing them to have a better quality of life which they deserve. Mental health is surrounding us and is becoming more prevalent, so there’s no better reason to find out how to control it from a young age and help young people manage their mental health.

  • Gavin Irvine

I usually try and run the Bath Half but this time, I thought I should run for reason: hoping to help Off The Record.
